Enhance Performance When Exercising Through Massage POSTED BY ADMIN | massage | 17 Sep

We all know the exercise is good for us. However, no matter what level you are at; novice or elite sports person then it can put a lot of strain on your muscles and other soft tissue. Massage is a good way of preparing your muscles for a main event such as a tough mountain walk a road race  or anything else where you may be stretching your limits. Having regular massages is also a good way of keeping your muscles in good condition and therefore allowing you to excel in whatever event you may be participating in.

Best massages for conditioning and better performance

As in its name a sports massage is ideal for keeping the body well conditioned particularly if you intend to push it to its limits. It is also a good idea to prepare  particular muscle groups if you intend trying something new. You may think that you are fit and able to do anything, but preparing muscles that are not usually used much is prudent planning and may reduce muscle strain or the likelihood of injury.  A sports massage draws fresh oxygenated blood into the muscles and surrounding tissues and as well as stimulating lymph flow reducing lactic build up also reducing metabolic waste.

Most athletes benefit by having greater flexibility and range of movement combined with greater endurance and reduced muscle pain  Other massage techniques are also beneficial for the purpose of strength and endurance and sometimes it depends on what you want to achieve. Deep tissue massage is also a beneficial way of conditioning the body so it can reach its maximum potential.  This type of massage can increase the size and amount of new mitochondria more than exercising without massage, thus  increasing the rate muscles utilize the oxygen, therefore increasing performance.
