Are You Talented And Qualified in Thai Massage? POSTED BY ADMIN | massage | 27 Sep

Whilst there are many massage courses available to Masseusesat colleges and training school across the region, there are few therapists that pursue their studies by developing their skills in taking a specialist training course in Thai massage. So, when we have jobs for massage therapists at Manchester Massage, we are delighted to find amongst the applicants those that offer a wide range of massage skills and occasionally someone who offers Thai massage amongst their skill sets!

Offering this traditional massage in the 21st century

Thai massage is a specialist therapy and one chosen by a select number of clients. Often those who have been on a holiday in Thailand and enjoyed a traditional massage on the beach and would like to replicate that feeling here. So, they book a Thai massage. They sometimes approach this with an open mind, because they understand that the beach service they enjoyed by a Thai practitioner may not be the exactly the same when they experience it in a salon in the Northern Quarter. Even if it is given by a Thai therapist! As with all massage therapies, the application of this massage does change from one masseur / masseuse to another, and this is certainly the case with a Thai massage.

How Thai and all massages change and evolve

Thai massage is believed to be over 2500 years old and during those centuries has evolved and changed by the addition of outside cultural influences and the absorption of different ideologies. In the Thai language, the name for Thai massage is Nuad bo-rarn. Literally translated it means massage ancient.  So, in effect it is regarded by those in Thailand as an ancient massage. One passed down through many centuries and also translated as the “ancient healing way” and regarded as such, as part of Thai medicine. In the UK the ethos behind the pure Thai massage is not so much focussed on the traditional aspects of the body’s energetic pathways, but on the ways that the provider can manipulate the body to stimulate and improve flexibility by combining compression, acupressure, and passive stretching. These increase the range of movement in the joints and muscles of the client.

We welcome applications from qualitied practitioners

Whether you are Thai by nationality and have these authentic skills, or you have studied Thai massage at college, or possibly in Thailand itself and have a qualification that is recognised in the UK, we would be pleased to hear from you. As with all the therapies we offer we are keen to fill our massage therapists’ job sat this salon in Northern Quarter Manchester with the finest practitioners available. So please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us as a Thai masseuse, either with many years of experience, or if you have recently added this treatment to your skill set and are looking for a highly regarded and established massage centre where you can practice your skills.
