Please take notice that by making a booking for an appointment with our massage therapist at Manchester Massage you are deemed to be agreeing to our Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Notice.
If you have booked online you also agree to attend the appointment you have booked, so that you understand our Terms and Conditions lease take the time to read through this information carefully.
You can make an appointment with Manchester Massage in a variety of ways including online, by telephone, text or email for a variety of appointment durations from 30 minutes to 2 hours and for a variety of massage types.
After making your booking, you will receive an email confirming all relevant details, if your booking is more than 2 days in advance you will also receive an email reminder 48 hours before your appointment.
If this is your first appointment at Manchester Massage you will also receive a New Client Consultation Form by email before your appointment. Please take a few moments to complete this information and return to us as we will not be able to treat you with these details and completion on the day may be part of your appointment time.
CANCELLATIONS & LATE ARRIVALS
Cancellation Policy: 24 hours.
We require a minimum of 24 hours notice if you find it necessary to cancel your appointment. Failure to attend an appointment with less than 24 hours notice of cancellation will incur the cost for your full appointment. This is necessary as we will almost certainly not be able to fill your appointment slot at short notice but still need to cover the cost of our therapists.
We would appreciate your assistance by cancelling as soon as possible if an unforeseeable event is possibly likely to prevent you from attending, maybe illness or severe weather conditions. Should you need to cancel your appointment at short notice, because of a long-term medical condition which can alter from day to day then it shall be necessary to discuss the cost implication on an individual basis.
Following any short-term cancellation or ‘no show’ a charge for the costs incurred will be sent to you by email for payment by bank transfer within 7 days and payment must be received before any further massage bookings can be undertaken.
It is important that your agreed appointment time and the duration of your treatment is adhered to. We do understand that on occasion something may happen and you may arrive a little later or have to leave earlier than originally planned. Naturally we appreciate that unforeseen circumstances can get in the way of your plans but we are not able to make up the missed time by over-running or adding any lost time to future appointments.
All client information and clinical records will be safeguarded by Manchester Massage to remain confidential. We will not share, sell or distribute any of the information you provide to us without your consent, unless where required to do so by law.
Consultations and client treatment details will not be discussed with anyone other than the client, unless the client is under the age of 18 or has a care worker or guardian.
So that we may prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we make full use of security measures to protect your information from access by persons who are not authorised to see them and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. We also have in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure your personal data which we have collected online. We shall retain your personal data only for a reasonable period of time or as long as the law requires.
Each therapist working for Manchester Massage will have access to these records only for the duration of their employ with Manchester Massage and solely for the purpose of ensuring that you are provided with the most appropriate treatments.
HEALTH & SAFETY
All therapists at Manchester Massage are qualified and are covered by professional and public indemnity insurance for the therapies that they provide.
Because of the nature of a massage therapy and the necessity for close contact, all Manchester Massage practitioners will maintain high standards of personal hygiene and our clients are politely requested to ensure that they also maintain a high standard of personal hygiene.
Should one of our therapists be unwell, suffering from a cold or virus, infection or general ill health, they will not be allowed to attend the area for their work because of the risk of cross contamination. This may result in Manchester Massage contacting you to inform you of the circumstances at the earliest opportunity to offer alternative suitable arrangements.
Clients are equally advised not to attend for a massage if they are unwell, suffering from a cold or virus, infection or general ill health. Please contact Manchester Massage via email or by phone at the earliest opportunity to rearrange your appointment. If you are unwell and contact us to inform us of your illness, please note that our Cancellation Policy may still apply.

Clients below the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This parent or guardian must give their written permission before the agreed massage plan can be performed and will be required to counter-sign the New Client Consultation Form. They will be requested to remain in the room during the appointment so that they shall be present throughout the treatment.
Manchester Massage retains the right to refuse any treatment if a client is physically or verbally abusive towards any therapist, or demonstrates inappropriate, aggressive or sexual behaviour. Such behaviour will result in a ban from Manchester Massage and may potentially result in criminal proceedings.
Manchester Massage provides massage therapy and bodywork in a variety of forms, but none of these bodywork therapies are a substitute for professional medical care or counselling. None of the therapists at Manchester Massage will diagnose, prescribe medication or medical treatment of any kind, unless they are individually qualified to do so, and will always recommend referral to a GP or other qualified medical specialist or practitioner.
It is the duty of the client to provide accurate and true medical and personal information, given to the best of their knowledge and to keep Manchester Massage fully acquainted with any change in details of medication, symptoms, medical concerns or treatments which they are presently being investigated or undergoing treatment for.
All therapists at Manchester Massage may decline treatment to any client or part of their body with just and reasonable cause. Manchester Massage reserves the right to terminate any appointment at any point if they believe that it is not safe or in the client’s best interest to continue further. Equally, the client has the right to refuse, modify or terminate their treatment at any point, regardless of prior consent given.
